Perast
It would be easy to drive past this small town as the coastal road sits above it. Luckily a friend advised me to visit Perast and I am so glad we did! It is well worth a quick stop and stroll around this Stunningly beautiful town. Fewer tourists stay here as there isn't much accommodation, so if you do stay here, the evenings will be more sedate than the other larger towns, perfect for relaxing and admiring the view. There are festivals though in June/July. In my opinion Perast is the most beautiful town in Montenegro. Perast was established to stop invaders reaching Kotor. It's Venetian style and beauty are so captivating. It is part of the UNESCO World heritage site of the bay of Kotor.

Most of the rain falls in November, December and January. August is the hottest month at around 30c. January is coldest at around 7c. We went in March and it was 17c, but not much was open until Easter.
Crime
Perast is a tiny town, with crime so low, there are hardly any statistics on it. It is a very safe place.
